Ah, this is the time of the year again, Christmas...
Ginger bread man, christmas tree with presents, Christmas socks hanging at the fireplace, and a blanket of snow (if there is one, in which my country don't have)... These are some of the wonderful things to enjoy during Christmas... Now, for those of you who don't know, Christmas is also the time to be with family... It wouldn't be fun if you celebrate Christmas alone, just like Kevin in Home Alone (unless you have two stupid villians who wants to rob the house known as the Wet Bandits, which are Harry and Marv)... Even so, if you watch the movie, Kevin really wants to see his Mom... This shows that Christmas is really the time to get along with family...
So, spend you Christmas time with family, and not to forget, don't be naughty cause if you do, you might get coal in your Christmas socks when you wake up... Last but not least, have a wonderful Christmas...
HO HO HO... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL, A GOOD NIGHT...

Suffer now, enjoy later...
Now, most people get the idea that everybody should always enjoy first... I for one, think the other way around... Yup, you guess it... Suffer now and enjoy later... There's been a lot of argument about this issue... Here's my point why I said suffer now and enjoy later...
Now, if you have noticed, I've not been blogging for the past days or even weeks... Now, this is trivial, I am "suffering" to finish my courseworks and assignments before the dateline... There's about 10 to 11 courseworks to be completed and I have like about few weeks to finish... So, lets say that I'm to enjoy first, will I be able to complete all the assignment in time ??? Not just I won't, I will penalized for submitting my coursework over the dateline... So, if you consider that, that's one enjoy, but two suffers... However, if I suffer first, I can enjoy after my coursework is submitted... So, in this case, I suffer one, but enjoy one... That sounds better isn't it ???
In general, think about it, is like back in the old days where wars kept going on and on... A good strategists will know to surrender the batte if he knows that he can't win with the amount of weapons and men available... Why does he wanna sacrifise his men and weapons if he can save it for another battle... You see, he may have lost the battle today, but not the war...
So, think about it... And decide which to follow... But as for me, I would say it is best to follow the title of this topic...

Important Person to Remember
Now, this topic will make you think, a lot...
Have you ever wonder who is your most important person ??? You know what I think ??? One words...
PARENT
If you really don't know the meaning of this word (some may not know), here's the meaning taken from Longman Exam Coach Dictionary...
parent - father or mother of a person
Why I said that, you might ask... The answer is simple and it is the same with few more people that I know...
I MISSED HOME...
Home is where Mom and Dad will be, where Mom do the cooking, and Dad enjoying with his children...
I kinda miss home cause one thing I like is my Mom's cooking... She made good Thai food... Spicy food is one of my favourite...
So, long story short, whoever your important person is, please remember them always cause they will always remember you no matter how far you are from them... Whether you're in Singapore, or Thailand, or UK, or even Hawaai, they will remember you...

Take Good Care of Your Identity... It's like a gold...
Who wouldn't want gold ??? After all, it's shiny is it ??? This is the same goes to your identity... They are valuable to you...
The story goes like this, it occurred today whereby I was doing my revision and finishing my 7 assignments (FYI, dateline for the assignments is by next week), when I got a call from a friend and my family member that I was accused for committing a crime and will be taken to the police lockup in one hour... I was like HUH ??? and WHAT ??!! I was furious !!! I didn't wrote that !!! So, just to be sure, I went into my Facebook and check my Wall and what I saw surprised me... Someone did wrote that crappish thing on my Facebook account !!! I WAS HACKED !!! So, I immediately delete the post and write a new post, telling everyone it was a fake (a job of a hacker)...
Let me tell you this...
I AM NOT GOING TO LOCKUP OR JAIL OR GAOL OR THE MAXIMUM SECURITY if you wanna ask me... OK ?!
Anyway, that line of sentence whereby I'm going to the lockup has actually cause all of my friends to panic !!! Luckily, I managed to write at my status, telling them that my account was hacked and the message was a fake... Also lucky that the hacker did not change my password or any of my login credentials for my Facebook... Who knows what will happen if that really happens... Apparently, the hacker is so stupid for not changing the password... So, I changed my password and hopefully, no one will hack my Facebook again...
So, the moral of the scenario here, keep a low profile and keep your identity very close to you while onlining... It's important not to reveal it as you may encounter something like this or worst if you are performing online banking, your account might be $0.00 if someone manage to get your identity... Luckily, I was hacked in Facebook only, not other sites... So, my fellow readers, don't let them get your identity... In fact I will describe a bit on how you can prevent from being hacked...
1. Whenever you browse the Net (IE or Firefox or any other browsers), when it comes to login page, be sure to look at the URL Address Bar for the following
https://
This shows that the site is secure and it's safe to login... Any site without the https, you should be careful when providing your credentials.
2. Next, always log out after a session... Don't just close your Internet browser as it is not log out...
3. This is by far the most important part in avoiding hacking, which is to clear your Internet browser traces a.k.a Internet cache and history... It's simple, the very simple way to delete your Internet traces is by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-DEL (or Delete) while your Internet browser is still open... Do it before closing the browser... N.B This applies on practically most Internet browser...
4. Before shutting down, perform a disk clean up to clear your computer hard drive as they may still be some traces that cannot be deleted from the browser... This is should done before shutting down as it completely clear your traces even if you didn't delete from the browser... This is done by performing the following.
For Windows 7 (some may be using it), Windows Vista, and Windows xp,
1. Go to My Computer.
2. Right Click Local Disk (C:\) where your Windows is installed (basically the drive C) and click Properties.
3. Click Disk Cleanup.
4. Wait till a window pops up.
5. Check Temporary Internet files, Downloaded Programs, and also, Temporary files (the Windows).
6. Click OK to perform the cleanup.
I hope none of you got hacked cause being hacked is one of the most serious issue whereby once you got hacked, you will never feel safe, for a long long time...

What would you do if you encounter this situation ???
I'm sorry that I was unable to post my message and advice to this blog as I was very busy (In fact, I'm still busy and will be for this coming 2 weeks)... Now, this is the reason for my busy...
Now, imagine you have the following...
You have no lecture as the lecturer keeps cancelling the class...
Suddenly, after several weeks of class cancellation, lecturer gave you assignments...
No only that, he said that it is to be submitted by 2 weeks time or if you're unlucky, 1 week time...
Sounds managable right ???
What about if I added that you are taking six modules in a semester and this scenario occurs...
How's that ???
Well, this is what I'm facing, along with my Computer Science students... We got about 10 jobs (tasks) to complete and submit them before the dateline... I can give you all the tasks that we are doing right now, along with the dateline...
Algorithm Problem Solving Assignment 2 by 07/12/2009
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Assignement 2 by 07/12/2009
Mathematics for Computer Scientists Assignment 2 by 10/12/2009
Skills for Communicating Information Assignment 2 (LATEX) by 21/12/2009
Skills for Communicating Information Assignment 3 (Essay) by 15/12/2009
Skills for Communicating Information Assignment 4 (CV and Cover Letter) by 22/12/2009
Programming Lab Assessment 4 test will be on 11/12/2009
Computer Systems Architecture Test 2 will be on 10/12/2009
Skills for Communicating Information Presentation will be on 17/12/2009 and topic based on Assignment 3
Computer Systems Architecture Lab Assessment (Date TBA)
Programming Test (Date TBA)
Not only that, if you notice the date for the tests, we CSIT students actually have 3 tests for this coming week, and we're not even prepared for the tests !!!
The lesson here is, take this as a challenge... By doing so, you'll never think of whether the dateline is coming, tests are coming, and whether you're prepared or not... I know, my CSIT friends, It's not possible, but the least you can do is try your very best to do as much as possible... Like what my friend from CSIT said, we CSIT should be HARDCORE !!!
P.S. The lecturer should not have cancel classes very frequent in the first place...
